The CO:UP is a concept born from our ability to evaluate a community’s needs and join those that can best work together. It’s the first concept of its kind in Townsville and the first of its kind within a Large Format Retail Centre anywhere in Australia.
In this instance, the CO:UP is a hub which will provide people, from couples to families, and individuals to groups, with a unique place which combines the elements of active performance and recovery. It’s a place where people gather, connect and build community around staying active, keeping fit and focusing on overall wellbeing. It’s not a gym. It’s a place to compete, to play and to relax. It’s a place to connect and re-connect.
The CO:UP will also redefine the way that Large Format Retail centres engage and draw its consumers, from Monday to Sunday, morning and night. We encourage you to take part.
THE VISION: Celebrating the ‘yin-yang’ of active performance, bringing together fitness and recovery, this multi-faceted destination is for everyone at every level. It’s where playtime meets downtime. It’s the start of friendships and personal bests. Where the community can hang out, unwind and get fit – whatever the weather, day or night, inside and out.
The CO:UP is coming to Stage 4 of the Fairfield Homemaker Centre, with Urban Climb as its anchor tenant.
