Chief Executive Officer

Ben is the founder of Geon Property (formerly Griffin Group) which he originated in 2004. Prior to this he practised as a solicitor for over 10 years, in both London and Brisbane. In charge of developments, Ben constantly seeks and closes new opportunities for Geon Property, those which focus and align with the business culture and values.

Ben’s passion for property development allows him to make the most of every project. His focus on placemaking and the community, ensures that every outcome is viable for all parties. He actively encourages leadership and initiative throughout the team; while his strong family background and tradition of operating family businesses has been instrumental in the creation and growth of the Geon Property brand. His ability to bring together numerous parts to make a successful whole is part of Geon Property’s core strength.

Ben ensures that key relationships are always maintained, and instills this value amongst the entire team.  By building a culture of autonomy and accountability, his open and collaborative approach is a key attribute to Geon Property’s philosophy.

Ben is an active community member, volunteering his time to support local school and community groups with his family.


General Manager of Development

With over 19 years’ experience as a Development Manager, Project Manager and Town Planner in both the public and private sectors, Tim’s wealth of knowledge and skill has seen him successfully realise several master-planned communities, including residential, commercial and industrial projects.

As General Manager of Development, he guides his team with expertise and experience to achieve outstanding results. Tim is currently leading Geon Property’s largest project – the mixed-use, $750m Transit Oriented Development at Albion, Brisbane. His contribution to the Geon Property team is highly valued amongst teams members and shareholders alike, with his strong work ethic ensuring projects gain momentum.

Tim’s passion and dedication to health and fitness are paramount to his success in facilitating his work-life balance. His competitive spirit resonates well with intra-office sporting challenges.


General Manager of Business Development & Leasing Services

With over 25 years experience in managing, leasing, and developing shopping centres across Australia, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge to your property portfolio. His areas of expertise are development leasing and tenancy mix review, having had involvement with numerous retail projects from initial land acquisition through to overseeing the leasing and property management.

In addition, Ashley holds long standing key relationships with a significant number of Australia’s leading retailers including Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Target, Big W, and Aldi in addition to many of the national and international fast food and fuel retailers.

Ashley works closely with the leasing and management teams, providing not only advice and recommendations, but also allows each team member the space to grow and learn through the process. In various situations, he will meet face to face with retailers and contractors, together with the management team in order to resolve issues. Ashley takes a proactive approach to dispute resolution.


Manager Finance, IT and Risk

Geon Property’s Manager Finance, IT and Risk, Amit Kalwar has over 15 years of finance and commercial experience across various industries. Amit is responsible for managing Geon Property’s Finance, Risk and IT.  As a member of the Geon Property’s Senior Leadership Team, Amit contributes to the financial delivery of Geon’s strategic plan, by coordinating strategic financial plan objectives, ensuring risks are mitigated and compliance to legislation and corporate governance of Geon’s business processes and systems to improve performance and productivity.

Amit is an avid rugby league fan, passionately supporting the Brisbane Broncos throughout each season.


Development Manager

Goal-orientated, driven, and dedicated, Julia has a passion for meaningful property development. Having worked across a number of residential subdivision projects in Northern NSW and Queensland, she was directly responsible for the successful delivery of the Western corridor’s first medium-density residential project, Park Avenue Apartments.

As part of the Geon Property team, Julia is currently leading the delivery of Riverway Plaza a neighbourhood shopping centre, providing a new level of amenity for the Upper Ross community in Townville.

With a passion for all things health and fitness related, Julia is an active member of the F45 community dedicated to work-life balance. Her can-do attitude is a complement to Geon Property’s core values.


Portfolio Manager

Norelle brings a wealth of talent and knowledge to the Geon Property Management team. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Norelle is a very accomplished Centre Manager. Starting her career in shopping centre management as a receptionist in 1995, she promoted through the company ranks to become a Marketing Manager before progressing to become a Centre Manager.


Norelle has since held several Associate Director positions, leading retail management teams to achieve outstanding results for her clients. Norelle applies her extensive experience to ensure both stakeholders and tenants are fully supported while maintaining smooth and efficient management of precincts.


Property Manager North Queensland

With a diverse background in property, marketing and communications, Tracey possesses strong work ethics and demonstrated management experience with an ability to work on multiple projects successfully.   Based in North Queensland, Tracey has over two decades of experience in client and account management within the retail, residential and commercial sectors.  Combined with her retail property management expertise, Tracey is the perfect Property Manager for our North Queensland portfolio.

Prior to joining Geon Property, she has worked in commercial property and brand management.  Tracey held a position with Stockland Development for close to a decade and worked as the Community Marketing Manager of the award winning North Shore development for many of these years.

Her passion for community sees Tracey getting involved in local events, and keeps life balanced with yoga, cooking and travel!  Tracey is a tenacious and persistent advocate of Geon’s brand, values and organisational objectives.


Retail Manager

Following a lengthy legal support career in New Zealand, Tiffany quickly found her passion in Shopping Centre Management upon arriving in Australia 10 years ago.  Starting as an Administration Assistant for Lendlease in Western Australia, her career brought her to Brisbane where she has progressed through the ranks of both small and large Centres, holding positions such as Administration Manager, Centre Manager Support and Retail Manager.

Armed with the passion for the retail industry, a natural ability to form effective working relationships and committed to providing excellent customer service, Tiffany joins Geon Property as Retail Manager across the portfolio.

Tiffany lives on the gorgeous coast of the Redlands and can be found most weekends out on the jetski or exploring the great array that the Redlands has to offer


Accounts Officer

An accounting powerhouse, Mikko is a key team member of our Finance team.  With a Bachelor of Accounting, a Real Estate Registration certificate, and mandarin as her first language, Mikko ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices.   Working alongside Amit Kalwar, our Finance Manager, Mikko also assists with tailored financial reports ensuring each Landlord’s asset is financially managed as if it was their own.  Mikko has joined the Geon Property team having worked in property management and sales for over 7 years.


Leasing Executive

An enthusiastic and dynamic team member, Alejandro works collaboratively with Geon’s Property Management & Leasing, and Property Development teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.  He works hand in hand with the General Manager of Business Development & Leasing, ensuring current vacancies are promoted, extensive research is undertaken, and relevant information is provided to prospective tenants.  Alejandro works hard behind the scenes with responsibility to ensure our database of prospective tenants is kept up to date and informed of opportunities.  The momentum within our leasing team is driven by Alejandro’s proactivity to keep abreast of activities.


Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Property Economics at Queensland University of Technology, Alejandro brings a youthful passion and drive to the Geon team.  Outside of work, Alejandro lives an active lifestyle with a main focus on his athletics, together with a casual round of golf.
