After an extensive redevelopment of the site in 2021, Riverway Plaza has re-emerged as a dynamic community hub. Stage 2 of the Riverway Plaza expansion received Development Approval in March 2023. The proposed extension will facilitate a second full-line supermarket comprising of 3,600m² and an additional 1,600m² of speciality retail with shopping and retail provided on the ground level, and a basement carpark. It represents a logical extension of the existing Rasmussen district centre and reflects the surrounding pattern of development being a mix of commercial, retail and convenience uses.
